Gas-Driven Endoscopic Robot for Visual Inspection of Corrosion Defects Inside Gas Pipelines

چکیده
The internal inspection of corrosion in large natural gas pipelines is a fundamental task for the prevention possible failures. Photos and videos provide direct proof defects. However, implementation this technique limited by fast robot motion poor lighting conditions, with high-quality images being key to its success. In work, we developed gas-driven pipeline endoscopic (GDPER) visual inner wall surfaces pipelines. GDPER consists driving, odometer, vision modules connected universal joints. It designed work 154 mm gas-pressurized up maximum 6 MPa, allowing it smoothly pass through bends cross-ring welds at speed 3 m/s using pressure driving. Test results have shown that HD MP4 video files can be obtained, location defects on detected intelligent image post-processing. function enables survey very long without impacting transport pipage.

Visual mapping for natural gas pipe inspection
Validating the integrity of pipes is an important task for safe natural gas production and many other operations (e.g. refineries, sewers, etc.). Indeed, there is a growing industry of actuated, actively driven mobile robots that are used to inspect pipes. Many rely on a remote operator to inspect data from a fisheye camera to perform manual inspection and provide no localization or mapping cap...

Mode selection of guided waves in an elastic steel plate with thick coating layer has been studied here. Eect of both thick elastic coating and damping of the coating layer on the dispersion and mode shapes has been investigated and modes that are less aected by elastic coating and damping have been identi®ed. For modeling the viscoelastic behavior of the coating layer, the standard linear so...
